The Hotel Piolets Andorra project focuses on fully equipping the rooms, developing a furniture system capable of defining the character of the space and reinforcing its identity linked to the mountain setting.
The intervention is based on a proposal in which the furniture not only meets a functional need, but also acts as a structuring element of the room. Through custom-designed pieces, areas for rest, storage, and everyday use are created, generating a clear and coherent organization of the space.
The use of natural woods, combined with dark structures and metallic details, adds depth and contrast, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere without sacrificing a contemporary feel. Upholstered elements, such as headboards or seating areas, introduce comfort and texture, reinforcing the sense of refuge inherent to the project’s context.
In certain room typologies, the incorporation of solutions such as lattice screens, lightweight partitions, or volumetric compositions makes it possible to create more dynamic spaces, differentiating uses without losing visual continuity. Open furniture and integrated elements enhance functionality and improve the user’s day-to-day experience.
Lighting, integrated into the furniture itself in many cases, helps reinforce the atmosphere, providing warm, focused light that supports the use of the space and highlights the materials.
The result is a set of rooms in which furniture design defines the project’s identity, creating balanced, comfortable spaces with a distinctive character, aligned with the experience of staying in a contemporary mountain setting.
